Car Control Clinic
Arapahoe Park Horse Racetrack - Sunday, May 17th, 2009
![]() |
The Rocky Mountain Chapter is having a Car Control Clinic on Sunday, May 17th, from 8:30 A.M. to 3:30 P.M. at Arapahoe Park Racetrack. Participants must be members of BMW CCA (regular or associate) and register in advance via the web.
If you are planning to drive in the
Rocky Mountain Chapter Driving
School, and this would be your first driving school, this is a
highly recommended preparatory event.
Driving School registration includes participation in this clinic, so
don't register here if you are attending the driving school!
Clinic exercises are designed to familiarize
students with the
handling and braking fundamentals of their vehicles. To minimize
congestion and waiting time, you will be assigned to one of 4 sessions,
each session lasting about 90 minutes.
Exercises planned
include a slalom, braking exercises and a skid pad. Anyone with a valid
driver's license is invited to attend the Car Control Clinic, even if you do not
wish to participate in a Driving School. A helmet is not required at the
clinic. Convertibles and SUVs are also welcome at the Clinic. Registration opens on
Saturday April 4th at noon and will close Sunday May 15th at 6 P.M. You will receive
an email message specifying the time for your Car Control Clinic session
about one week before the clinic. |
Minor drivers (under 18 years of age) may participate in the car control clinic only if they are 16 years of age, possess a valid driver's license (Colorado Minor Instruction Permit) and bring a minor waiver form signed in advance by both parents/guardians. Driver Awareness Permits and Driver Education Permits are NOT sufficient. No exceptions will be made.
See Colorado Minor Drivers licensing for details on minor licenses.
