Car Control Clinic Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

(Have a question not on this list? E-mail Brian Bowden at bbowden@rmcbmwcca.org)

Q. Must I be a member of BMW CCA to participate in Car Control Clinic?
A. Yes.  This is a requirement of the insurance provider.

Q. How old do drivers have to be to drive in the Car Control Clinic?
A. 16 with a valid driver's license.  In Colorado, the required minor driver's license is called a "minor instruction permit".  Neither the Driver Education Permit nor the Driver Awareness Permit is sufficient for the Car Control Clinic, as these permits require the adult who signed the DR2450 form to be in the car with the minor driver at all times. We will not make any exceptions to this requirement, so please don't even ask us to do so! Minors will need to bring the waiver form signed by both parents or guardians.

Q. If I did not register for Car Control Clinic, can I still go and participate?
A. No, you must register in advance.

Q. Do I need to have my car inspected prior to driving in the Car Control Clinic?
A. No.

Q. Do I need a helmet for Car Control Clinic?
A. No.

Q. Can I use my convertible, pickup, van or SUV for the Car Control Clinic?
A. Yes.

Q. Will I need to sign a waiver to drive in Car Control Clinic
A. Yes.

Q. Can I pay by check?
A. Yes, however we prefer that you pay via the secure shopping cart.  Contact the registrar if you simply can not pay online.

Q. If it is raining, snowing, etc., will the Car Control Clinic be cancelled or postponed?
A. No, we hold the clinic no matter what the weather.

Q. Who is the registrar?
A. Leslie, the one pulling her hair out!  Send her an e-mail if you have a question!  She likes e-mail: dsinfo@rmcbmwcca.org
