Our Annual Ice Gymkhana was held on January 13, 2008 at Georgetown Lake. The hearty breakfast buffet and pre gymkhana meeting place was held at the fabulous Raven Hill Mining Company. It’s hard to beat the charming Victorian atmosphere on a cold winter morning. Following breakfast and a brief instruction session we ventured to the lake where Grant and Carol Barclay had the course set up. Areas of the ice had to be avoided due to the heavy usage of another club the past weekend. Part of winter driving includes adverse conditions and the avoidance of obstacles. Driver and vehicle capabilities were put to the test and times are listed below. Prizes given out were courtesy of Ralph Schomp BMW based on vehicle class.
